Transfer gossip: Arsenal eye Wan-Bissaka, Spurs plot £85m Kroupi bid, Man Utd chase Tchouameni

Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a move for former Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they seek cover at right-back, while Tottenham Hotspur continue their big-spending summer with an ambitious £85million pursuit of Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi. Manchester United, meanwhile, are said to be preparing talks with Real Madrid over midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, with Marcus Rashford’s Old Trafford future still hanging in the balance.
The developments were reported by Mirror Football as part of its rolling transfer coverage, with Ben White’s situation at Arsenal, Tottenham’s spending spree and Manchester United’s midfield rebuild all under scrutiny during the current window.
Arsenal weigh Wan-Bissaka reunion
According to Sports Mole, Arsenal are monitoring Aaron Wan-Bissaka as a potential replacement should Ben White depart the Emirates Stadium. White has fallen behind Jurrien Timber in the pecking order, though a knee injury could complicate any exit for the defender this summer.
Wan-Bissaka, who left Manchester United last year and has recently seen his parent club West Ham United relegated to the Championship, is viewed as a player with the top-flight experience to play understudy to Timber. Arsenal’s board are said to be scouring the market for options as they prepare to defend their Premier League title in 2026/27.
Spurs prepare £85m Kroupi move
Tottenham Hotspur look set to continue their heavy spending, with Caught Offside reporting the club are readying an £85million bid for Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi. Spurs have already committed £237million this summer on Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, alongside free transfers for Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are understood to see attacking reinforcement as the next priority after a difficult 17th-place finish in the Premier League last season. Kroupi enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at the Vitality Stadium and is regarded as one of the division’s most sought-after young forwards.

Man Utd eye Tchouameni, Rashford future unclear
Spanish outlet AS report that Manchester United are expected to open talks with Real Madrid over Aurelien Tchouameni in the coming days, as the club continue their search for an experienced midfielder following Casemiro’s departure. United had previously missed out on targets including Elliot Anderson and Mateus Fernandes, and are said to be ready to offer more than £85million along with a lucrative contract to prise Tchouameni away from the Bernabeu.
Marcus Rashford’s situation remains uncertain, with the Manchester Evening News reporting that his prospects of a permanent transfer could depend on his involvement for England at the World Cup. Barcelona, where Rashford spent last season on loan, have since signed Anthony Gordon for around £70million, seemingly closing the door on a return to Catalonia.
A strong showing for England against Norway in Miami could reignite interest from potential suitors, while being left out of the starting eleven could see that interest fade, according to the report. Rashford is otherwise expected to return to Old Trafford for pre-season under Michael Carrick.
