Kith and adidas unveil ultra-rare F50 Spider boot – but nobody can buy it

Streetwear label Kith and adidas Football have unveiled a reimagined version of the cult F50 Spider boot, though supporters hoping to get their hands on a pair will be left disappointed. The revamped design, revealed by adidas’ vice president of product creative Sam Handy, has been confirmed as a Friends & Family exclusive with no public sale planned.

The move comes shortly after Kith and adidas launched their wider 2025 Fall Collection earlier this month, a range fronted by Paul Pogba and Paulo Dybala that leaned heavily on football heritage mixed with streetwear flourishes including flame motifs, pinstripes and denim-style outerwear.

A cult classic reworked

The original F50 Spider first launched back in 2004 and has since become a prized item among boot collectors. For this latest collaboration, the silhouette has been given a brown textile base finished with a distinctive web-patterned overlay across the upper.

Tongue covers made from a white snakeskin-style material carry dual Kith & Kin branding, while a retro-styled heel clip has been updated with adidas’ SPRINTFRAME 360 tooling to bring the classic design in line with modern performance standards. “Kith” lettering runs down the spine of the boot alongside adidas’ own performance logo, tying the throwback aesthetic together with contemporary detailing.

Strictly off-limits

Despite the attention the boot is likely to attract among football boot enthusiasts, the F50 Spider x Kith will not be made available for retail purchase. It has been confirmed as a Friends & Family drop, meaning access will be limited to those within Kith founder Ronnie Fieg’s inner circle rather than the general public.

That exclusivity is likely to only heighten demand for the boot among collectors, with grail-status releases of this kind often becoming among the most sought-after items in football’s ever-growing crossover with streetwear culture.
