Kith and adidas revive cult F50 Spider boot – but nobody can buy it

Streetwear label Kith and adidas Football have unveiled a reworked version of the cult 2004 F50 Spider boot, but football fans hoping to get their hands on a pair will be left disappointed. The revamped silhouette has been confirmed as a Friends & Family exclusive, meaning it will never officially go on sale.

The reveal follows Kith and adidas Football’s 2025 Fall Collection, which launched earlier this month fronted by Paul Pogba and Paulo Dybala. That capsule combined football heritage with streetwear staples including flame motifs, pinstripe detailing and denim-style outerwear.

A cult classic reimagined

According to adidas’ VP of Product Creative, Sam Handy, the brand had something extra in store for boot collectors: a rare F50 Spider x Kith edition built specifically for the Friends & Family circle. The original F50 Spider first launched in 2004 and has remained a favourite among boot enthusiasts ever since, prized for its distinctive web-style overlay.

The new version keeps that heritage front and centre while adding a modern twist. It features a brown textile base wrapped in a striking web-patterned overlay, with tongue covers made from a white snakeskin-style material carrying dual Kith & Kin branding.

A retro-inspired heel clip has been updated with adidas’ SPRINTFRAME 360 tooling to bring the design in line with modern performance standards, while “Kith” lettering runs down the spine of the boot alongside adidas’ own performance logo.

Strictly off-limits

Despite the eye-catching design, the F50 Spider x Kith will not be made available to the wider public. It has been confirmed as a Friends & Family exclusive, meaning only those within Kith founder Ronnie Fieg’s inner circle are likely to ever wear a pair.

For everyone else, the boot is destined to become another grail-level piece talked about among sneaker and boot collectors but rarely, if ever, seen on pitches or in shops. It adds to a growing list of limited-run collaborations between football brands and streetwear labels that generate huge buzz without ever reaching general sale.
