Corinthians unveil retro Nike Total 90 third kit in Flamengo defeat

Corinthians have unveiled a bold new third kit that revives Nike’s much-loved Total 90 aesthetic, with the Brazilian giants debuting the shirt in Sunday’s defeat to Flamengo. The strip forms part of a campaign named “Total Corinthians” and marks the latest chapter in Nike’s wider revival of the Total 90 look for the 2025/26 season.
According to 90min, the shirt features a black base with subtle striping, offset by vivid orange detailing across the badge, the Nike swoosh and a circular number print beneath the crest that echoes the trademark Total 90 style. The same circular framing appears on the back of the shirt, while a retro T90 insignia is stitched inside the collar as a further nostalgic touch.
Black shorts and socks trimmed in orange complete the kit, giving Corinthians a striking blackout look with a fiery contrast for their travelling and neutral fixtures this season.
A tribute to a golden generation
Corinthians marketing superintendent Vinicius Manfredi said the design was intended to honour those who wore the club’s colours during the Total 90 era, while also connecting with today’s squad. “Pay homage to a generation that marked the club forever” and “inspire the new protagonists who today wear this shirt with the same pride,” he said, as quoted by 90min.
Nike Fisia marketing director Renato Aguiar echoed that sentiment, describing the release as a link between two eras of the sport. “This shirt represents a bridge between generations. Total 90 was a symbol of an era marked by innovation and boldness in football, and Corinthians, with its historical achievements and legendary characters, is the ideal stage to revive and reinvent this heritage,” Aguiar said.
Total 90 nostalgia strikes a chord
The Total 90 branding will be familiar to a generation of English football supporters, having become synonymous with Nike boots and kits during the 2000s. Its return as a design theme across Nike’s football range has already generated plenty of interest among collectors and fans nostalgic for the era.
Corinthians’ new third kit made its on-pitch debut in a two-one defeat to Flamengo, though the result did little to dampen enthusiasm for the release. The shirt is expected to feature regularly for the São Paulo club as they continue their 2025/26 campaign.
