Shelbourne vs Celtic: TV channel, live stream and kick-off time for Dublin friendly

Celtic return to action this week as their preparations for the 2026/27 campaign get under way with a pre-season friendly against Shelbourne at Tolka Park in Dublin.
It is the first fixture for the reigning Scottish champions since they wrapped up the Premiership title with a dramatic finale against Hearts seven weeks ago. Martin O’Neill’s side will now begin building towards a bid for six league titles in a row.
When and where is Shelbourne vs Celtic?
The friendly takes place on Tuesday, 7 July, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm at Shelbourne’s home ground, Tolka Park in Dublin.
It marks the opening fixture in a busy summer schedule for Celtic before they head to Portugal for a warm-weather training camp. That trip will end with a match against Sporting Lisbon.
O’Neill’s squad will then return to Glasgow to host Middlesbrough and AC Milan in further pre-season friendlies, before the serious business begins with the Premiership opener at home to Dundee.
TV channel and live stream details
The clash with the League of Ireland side will be shown live on Premier Sports 2, with coverage beginning at 5:50pm ahead of the 6pm kick-off.
Premier Sports is available through Sky, Virgin Media, STV Player and as an add-on subscription through Amazon Prime. Subscribers to the channel will also be able to stream the match live via the Premier Sports website.
Transfer window still to open for Celtic
Celtic have yet to confirm their first signing of the summer, with supporters growing keen to see fresh faces arrive at Parkhead. Both Rangers and Hearts have already been active in the transfer market, adding to the pressure on the champions to move quickly as the window progresses.
The Dublin friendly gives O’Neill his first opportunity to run the rule over his squad ahead of a demanding pre-season that includes matches against Sporting Lisbon, Middlesbrough and AC Milan before the Premiership campaign kicks off against Dundee.
