England vs Norway: When is the World Cup quarter-final in Miami?

England will face Norway in the World Cup quarter-final at 10pm BST on Saturday, 11 July, with the tie taking place at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium. The Three Lions booked their place in the last eight after a dramatic 3-2 victory over Mexico in the round of 16.
Gareth Southgate’s successor now has five days to prepare his squad for the next stage of the tournament, following a tie at the Estadio Azteca that swung wildly in both directions before England held on for the win.
Bellingham double sets the tone
The last-16 clash began cagily before Jude Bellingham scored twice in the space of two minutes to give England control. Mexico responded almost immediately, with Julian Quinones finishing emphatically after England failed to clear their lines from a free-kick.
The second half brought further chaos when Jarell Quansah was sent off with 35 minutes remaining for a poor challenge on Jesus Gallardo, leaving England to see out the closing stages a man down.
Harry Kane converted from the penalty spot shortly after the red card, netting what would prove to be the winning goal after Anthony Gordon was fouled by Raul Rangel inside the box. Wolves striker Raul Jimenez then scored a penalty of his own to set up a tense finale, but England’s defence held firm to secure a 3-2 win.
Quarter-final date confirmed
With the last-16 hurdle cleared, attention now turns to Norway in the quarter-finals. According to the Standard, the fixture is scheduled for 10pm BST on Saturday, 11 July, 2026, at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium.
England will have had a five-day turnaround by the time the quarter-final kicks off, giving the coaching staff time to assess injuries and manage the squad after the physical toll of the Mexico match, including the suspension of Quansah for the next round.
