Whitehawk swoop for Bowry and Williams in double transfer boost

Whitehawk have strengthened their bid for promotion from the Isthmian Premier Division with a double swoop, bringing in reinforcements at both ends of the pitch. The Sussex club have completed the signing of defender Dan Bowry from last season’s league rivals Cray Valley PM, while also adding striker Oghosa Williams to their ranks.
Bowry, 28, made 21 appearances for Cray Valley PM last term before making the switch to the Enclosed Ground. The centre-back has an eye-catching CV that includes a spell with EFL side Cheltenham Town, whom he joined back in 2019, as well as stints at Bath City, King’s Lynn Town, Worthing and St Albans City.
He is also an established international, having represented Antigua and Barbuda at senior level, giving Whitehawk a defender with plenty of experience across the non-league pyramid to call upon for the coming campaign.
Williams arrives from Step 6
Joining Bowry at Whitehawk is striker Oghosa Williams, who steps up two divisions after an impressive campaign with Greenwich Borough in Step 6 football last season. His arrival gives the club fresh attacking options as they look to make an impact in the Isthmian Premier this term.
The double signing underlines Whitehawk’s intent to build a squad capable of competing at the top end of the division, with the club looking to blend experienced heads with promising talent from lower down the pyramid.
Building for the new season
With pre-season preparations under way across the non-league game, clubs up and down the country are finalising their squads ahead of the new campaign. Whitehawk’s twin additions will be seen as a statement of ambition as they aim to challenge for promotion from the Isthmian Premier Division.
