Arsenal agree £17.1m deal to sell Leandro Trossard to Besiktas

Arsenal have agreed a £17.1million deal to sell Leandro Trossard to Turkish side Besiktas, according to the Daily Mail. The package will see the Gunners receive £15.4m upfront, with a further £1.7m due in add-ons.

The 31-year-old, who is currently at the World Cup with Belgium, has just one year remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium. With no progress made in talks over an extension, Arsenal have decided to cash in on the winger this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing next year.

A key figure under Arteta

Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton in 2023 and has since become an important part of Mikel Arteta’s squad. He established himself as the manager’s preferred option on the left of attack during the closing stages of last season, moving ahead of Gabriel Martinelli in the pecking order at times.
