Sassuolo and Bologna are reportedly locked in talks with Hellas Verona over a move for Scotland striker Kieron Bowie, according to the latest Scottish football gossip. Celtic, meanwhile, are said to be keeping tabs on Norwegian forward Tobias Lauritsen, while former Rangers loanee Mikey Moore has attracted interest from three European clubs.
Bowie attracts Serie A interest
The Daily Record reports that Sassuolo have joined Bologna in opening discussions with Hellas Verona regarding 23-year-old Bowie, who is valued at around £10 million. The forward joined the Serie A club in January but was unable to prevent them from being relegated last season.
Elsewhere, Sky Sports report that centre-half Jack Hendry has become the highest-paid Scotland international after the 31-year-old signed a new two-year contract with Al Ettifaq.
Celtic linked with Lauritsen as Ralston talks loom
Celtic are reportedly interested in striker Tobias Lauritsen, who has left Sparta Rotterdam, with Leicester City also credited with interest, according to Italian outlet Il Secolo XIX as relayed by journalist Martin Crawford. The 28-year-old is understood to be actively pursued by Sampdoria as well.
Closer to home, the Daily Record reports that Celtic plan to open contract talks with right-back Anthony Ralston, whose current deal enters its final year. The 27-year-old Scotland international remains a key figure in Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
Celtic are also said to be closing in on a deal for Qarabag striker Camilo Duran, with the 24-year-old’s agent arriving in Scotland for talks over a multi-year contract, according to journalist George Tsarouchas.
Moore courted by continental clubs
Borussia Dortmund, Cologne and PSV Eindhoven are all said to be interested in a loan move for Tottenham Hotspur winger Mikey Moore, according to Football Insider. The 18-year-old spent last season on loan at Rangers and could be set for another temporary switch abroad.
In further Scottish gossip, Ogryte sports director Pontus Farnerud has admitted there is interest in Celtic-linked defender Michael Parker, though he stopped short of confirming any formal offer for the 21-year-old, who is valued at around £1.5 million, according to The Herald.
Centre-half Zach Mitchell, whose loan spell at Hibernian was cut short last season, looks set to return for a second temporary stint at St Johnstone from Charlton Athletic, with Saints boss Simo Valakari confirming talks, according to The Courier.
Wigan Athletic have offered Trinidad and Tobago centre-back Kieran Ngwenya a contract, while Huddersfield Town remain in discussions with the 23-year-old, who turned down a new deal at Dunfermline Athletic, according to journalist Anthony Joseph.
