Three Championship clubs chase Man City striker Divin Mubama

Manchester City striker Divin Mubama is the subject of growing Championship interest, with Middlesbrough, Derby County and Preston North End all keen to sign the 21-year-old this summer.
The England Under-21 forward joined City from West Ham United for £2million in 2024 and spent last season on loan at Stoke City, where he made a strong impression before injury cut his campaign short.
Impressive loan spell curtailed by injury
Mubama scored five goals for Stoke before his season was ended in January when he suffered ankle ligament damage following a heavy challenge from QPR’s Jimmy Dunne. He initially feared he had broken his leg in the incident.
The striker has since made a full recovery and is back to fitness, prompting a number of Championship clubs to move for his signature in the hope he can replicate his Stoke form over a full campaign.
Derby have already made contact
Mubama has already held discussions with Derby County, though no decision has yet been made either by the player or Manchester City over his next move, according to the Daily Mail.
Middlesbrough and Preston North End have also made approaches, and further clubs could enter the race as interest in the young forward continues to build ahead of the transfer window.
