Harry Wilson trains with Premier League stars ahead of Leeds United move

Harry Wilson has been photographed training alongside a host of Premier League names as he edges closer to completing a free transfer to Leeds United this summer.
The Wales international was pictured working out at BAS Training’s facility in Faro, Portugal, in the company of Aston Villa’s Matty Cash and Tottenham’s James Maddison. BAS Training shared images of the session on Instagram, captioning the post: “Another week in the tank – Trusted by the ELITE.” Wilson subsequently reposted one of the photographs to his own Instagram story.
The 29-year-old is understood to have agreed a four-year deal with Leeds after leaving Fulham at the end of his contract. He had been offered fresh terms to remain at Craven Cottage but has instead opted for a fresh challenge in West Yorkshire.
Leeds win the race for Wilson’s signature
Several clubs are said to have registered interest in Wilson, but Leeds appear to have fended off the competition to land his signature on a free transfer. He is expected to be officially unveiled as a Leeds player in the near future.
The delay in confirming the move has caused a little unease among the Leeds faithful, given the club previously failed in an attempt to sign Wilson on deadline day ten months ago. There is not thought to be any cause for concern this time, however, with the switch expected to go through as planned.
Wilson, who began his career with Liverpool, would join Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon and Daniel James as the latest addition to a growing Welsh contingent at Elland Road.
Darlow situation remains unresolved
Elsewhere at the club, goalkeeper Karl Darlow could yet remain part of Daniel Farke’s squad next season should he agree new terms, having also seen out his previous contract at Leeds. Manchester United and Everton are reportedly monitoring his situation.
The uncertainty over Darlow’s future is said to be complicating Leeds’ pursuit of Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, with Farke keen to have clarity on his goalkeeping options as pre-season preparations continue.
